This involves a site visit by a trained hydro surveyor to undertake an appraisal of the site, and complete a detailed report on the site. The Feasibility Report will include; accurate measurement of the head height, proposed location of the intake, pipe route, turbine house, power export cable and discharge location. We will consult with planning and Environment Agency over potential licensing issues (including possible ecological concerns) and with the local network operator to assess likely grid connection costs. Using data from LowFlows flow modelling software we will design and cost the system and make an assessment of likely income, design and build costs, and the expected economic return.
Feasibility Reports start at around £1,000 but charges are higher for schemes above 15 and 30kW. However for private landowners, farmers, and community groups we offer Feasibility Reports from just £500 (although once again larger schemes will be more).
Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to include an example of a TGV Hydro Feasibility Study document in this website as they are extremely detailed and include many graphics which would lead to unfeasible download times. We hope to be able to overcome this in the future.
